Add VAT groups to assign one or more tax rates to projects, services, or clients.

1. Click Setup > VAT Groups and click Add.
2. Enter a name for the VAT group.  
3. Click the Name field in the grid and select a VAT rate.
4. Repeat to add additional rates to the group. 
5. Click Save.

Add tax groups to projects, services, and clients

For projects, you can add tax groups to project templates or to individual projects. Open the template or project, click the Time and Billing tab, and make a selection in the Tax Group field.

For services, you can add tax groups to service templates. Choose Setup > Service Templates, add or open a template, and make a selection in the Tax Group field, which is in the Rates section.

To add a tax group to a client, choose Setup > Clients, open the client, click the Billing tab, and make a selection in the Tax Group field.

Onvio looks first to the project for tax group information, and if none is present, it then looks to the service, and finally to the client.
